Almost every goth blog I have read mentions how one 'never lets one's friends go out looking like the Crow', as Jillian Venters once put it. But, being a 90's baby and slightly slow on the uptake, it has taken this long to work it out. Go figures.
So, for all slightly younger persons inclined to the spookish, 'The Crow' is a horror film. The protagonist and his fiancee are murdered, but he is brought back to life by a crow and avenges their deaths.
And here is the reason we do not let our friends go out looking like him:

I mean, the make-up is cool, don't get me wrong. It sort of reminds me of Heath Ledger's Joker in monochrome. But not exactly great for the 'authentick gawfik' look. Such excessive make-up sort of screams 'newbie' unless it's Halloween or you're shooting a horror film.
