Auckland scene

I've been tossing up goth again. As per usual.

But in the process of google-ing I've come across a club goth night in Auckland, New Zealand. (On the off chance there are any goths who read this blog and are looking for a goth/industrial night.) Likelihood is that you've already heard of it if you are part of the scene, but just in case the event is 'The Church' held on the last Sunday of every month. It's held at the Whammy Bar in St Kevin's Arcade on K'Road. Here is the link to the FaceBook page.

Being a newbie/n00b I'm hesitant to turn up, myself. Maybe I can convince some friends of mine to go with on another night. Normally I'm more comfortable if I'm familiar with an environment. I'm quite shy and slightly fearful of turning up to a goth night and being the awkward little duck in the corner.

I only really have one friend who is (at least as far as I'm aware) is interested in alternative fashion. Unfortunately she's not of age and can't attend, but maybe in a few months she'll come along. The only 'goth' I know is a family friend, but I don't know her personally very well. I'm often hesitant to approach others because I'm not sure whether they are keen for gothic rock or mildly interested in fashion. But I'll never know if I don't at least ask.

So if anyone does take a trip up to the Whammy Bar, comment below and let me know what you think. Apparently they play quite a range of music. I find that very comforting, as I cannot physically stand dubstep or house music. It make my ears bleed.
