Mod Post #1 - Pinned Jacket Tutorial

Surfing the internet for ideas for modified jackets (you know, the punk-rocker type?) This tutorial popped up, compliments of post-ee Smexy Dead. It is FABULOUS.

Basically you draw a design in tailors chalk on the back of an old jacket and pin it. Note that while the tutorial does it in fifty pins, you may end up using more. I probably used about one hundred and fifty, although I'm not very economical. I'd guess this design could take about one hundred but it's worth buying more pins. You can always use then up another time.

It'll take you a couple of hours or so, but the final product is definitely worth the effort.

It works because the jacket (depending on which one you find) looks quite conservative but the pin design is quite art-sy. So you pair it with mini-shorts and a normal t-shirt and e voila. A juxtaposition. It'll get you compliments every time you wear it. Trust me.

But... if you're not a craft-inclined person or you have limited dexterity then Smexy Dead has a website where she sells them.

I decided to pin the pocket as well. Just for fun.
